It's time to talk about Netflix's biggest hit of 2021 – and in history. The series, which is a South Korean production, was released in September 2021 and became one of the most talked about topics of the year.

The plot revolves around 456 people who, being heavily in debt and desperate for money, receive a mysterious invitation to participate in a competition where the prize is 45.6 billion won – something around R$ 208 million. 

What they don't know is that whoever loses the game also dies. This means that, in addition to fighting for the money, the participants also have to fight to survive this dispute and reach the end. 

Soon after its release, the series entered Netflix's list of popular content. Over time – and with its success growing – Squid Game became Netflix's most-watched series. It was so successful that a second season has already been announced and is in production.

Orange is the New Black

One of Netflix's first exclusive productions, Orange is The New Black has already ended, but during its seven seasons, the series won over millions of fans.
