If you need that extra cash to pay your bills or to carry out a personal project, a Caixa loan could be a great option for you!
We've all been at times in our lives when we realized we needed extra income or a specific amount of money to buy something, right?
It is common for people to have dreams that often do not fit in their budget and they end up looking for alternative ways to achieve that dream.
And one of the most sought after ways is usually the loans bank. Usually the bank offers the amount you need and you pay in installments with a monthly interest rate.
And Caixa Econômica is one of the most sought-after banks by Brazilians when it comes to this topic. Caixa is well-known for working alongside the government in social programs such as “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” and “FIES”.
But did you know that the Box also offers a line of credit for personal loans and has already lent more than R$1.8 billion to Brazilians?
Here we will talk a little more about this loan and what the steps are to obtain yours.
What is the Caixa loan?

A Caixa personal loan is borrowed money that you can use as you see fit, that is, there is no pre-established agreement on how this money will be applied, as is the case with social programs.
Caixa provides the amount requested by you and you can choose how the payment will be made, whether it will be in cash or in installments and the interest variation also varies according to your payment choice.
What are the advantages of the Caixa loan?
There are several reasons why Caixa Econômica is the champion in Brazil when it comes to loans and many of them are the advantages offered.
Below we will learn more about what these advantages are and whether they are really worth it for Brazilians.
Flexible Installments
One of the reasons that Caixa customers like the most is the installment plan it offers. As mentioned above, you can choose between different types of payments, from cash to installments.
Caixa offers flexible installments of up to 60 times for the customer, keeping the installments low and affordable.
Variety of loans
There are four lines of credit within Caixa for its customers, which is very striking, as in many banks there is only one personal loan and this can make it difficult when applying.
The four lines of credit are:
Pre-Fixed Monthly Personal Credit: In this model you can choose between 1 and 48 installments and the monthly interest is already established without changes.
Post-Fixed Monthly Personal Credit:In this model, the customer can choose to make payments between 4 and 36 months, but the interest is post-fixed, meaning that there is no fixed monthly installment amount.
Pre-Fixed Monthly Cash Salary Credit: This loan model is suitable for people who receive their salaries in a cash account or receive some government benefit in cash accounts. Interest rates are pre-established at the time of the loan.
Post-Fixed Monthly Cash Salary Credit: It is also made for those who receive their salary or benefit in a cash account, but because it has post-fixed interest, it is not possible to have a fixed installment.
What are the Caixa loan rates?
The Caixa loan fee charges are common, such as the IOF fee that is charged at the time of contracting as established by law.
A monthly interest rate is also charged, which will depend on the type of loan you take out and how many installments you want to pay in. Fewer installments mean less interest.
You can find the rates at all Caixas branches, where there should be a table of the rates currently in force.
How to apply for a Caixa loan?
Caixa loans are always made at a bank branch, so you need to choose the one closest to you and go there to make your application.
Just like other banks, whenever a loan is requested, the bank carries out a credit analysis to find out a little more about the customer's profile.
It is checked whether the customer pays their bills on time, whether there are any outstanding debts with Caixa and the customer's situation with SPC and Serasa is also checked.
After the credit is approved by the analysis, Caixa issues a contract with all the information decided between you and the bank: Installment method, type of contract, best day for payment and contracted amount.
After that, the bank makes the amount available in your Caixa account so that you can use it.
