Purchases up to US$$50 arrive with transparent taxation and no surprise customs detentions.
The federal import tax was reduced to zero for purchases within this limit.
The only relevant additional cost is the IOF tax of 4.38%, which applies only when payment is made by credit card.
Shein subsidizes the state ICMS tax on international shipments — this cost does not appear at checkout for the buyer.
