Vehicle (car or motorcycle)

To work as a Mercado Livre partner driver, the delivery person must have a vehicle – car or motorcycle – up to 15 years old, which is in good condition and in regularized status with the responsible bodies.

For motorcycle riders, it is worth noting that it is also necessary to have a backpack or trunk of at least 80 liters. 

This is the minimum capacity required by the company to make deliveries.

Valid National Driver's License (CNH)

Another mandatory requirement to be a self-employed Mercado Livro delivery person is to have a valid National Driver's License (CNH) that meets all the criteria required by traffic authorities.

National Registry of Legal Entities

As already mentioned in the text, the drivers who are part of this new delivery system work as service providers for the company, without having an employment relationship.

Therefore, to be one of Mercado Livre's self-employed drivers, you must have a National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ).

To meet this requirement, registration can be in the MEI (individual microentrepreneur) format. 

And it is worth remembering that it is also necessary to have deliveries as a main or secondary activity.

Cell phone with internet

And last but not least, it is essential that the driver has a cell phone with internet access.

What is the average earnings of a Mercado Livre delivery person?

A very important issue regarding this delivery service is the amount earned by delivery people.

In this regard, the service is very similar to ride-sharing apps, such as Uber and 99. Each service request is associated with an initial value and the driver can accept as many as he wants.

The partner driver will know what this amount will be before accepting the delivery in question.

If accepted, the driver picks up all the packages at a specific collection point and makes deliveries throughout the city.

The amount that will be received by the driver takes into account the number of successful deliveries made. 

In cases where the delivery route is completed in full, the driver receives 100% of the amount indicated at the beginning of the deliveries.

Now, if this delivery route is not completed, the driver receives an amount proportional to the route taken.

According to the website responsible for the delivery service, the partner driver can receive up to R$$ 240 per day. 

These payments are made weekly directly into the driver's Mercado Pago account.
