An Angel Fell from Heaven

Globoplay is famous for bringing our favorite soap operas, isn't it? And this month we have several new features that will warm your hearts.

The first new feature is “Um Anjo Caiu do Céu”, a soap opera originally shown in 2001 and written by Dennis Carvalho.

The plot tells the story of photographer João, played by everyone's beloved Tarcísio Meira. 

João has always been an adventurer who traveled the world and never gave his family the attention they needed, but everything changes when he is saved from death by an angel and realizes that he has been given a second chance to make up for past mistakes.

Beautiful

Another audience champion arriving on streaming this month is “Belíssima”. 

Originally shown in 2006 and already seen on Vale a Pena Ver de Novo, Bia Falcão's plot arrives to satisfy everyone's longing.

The soap opera tells the story of an intimate fashion company that gives its name to the soap opera and involves several parallel stories, the main one being that of the villain Bia Falcão, who is a socialite who lives full of luxuries and appearances.

The soap opera is set in São Paulo, but there are also scenes filmed in Greece and we can see a little more of the culture of this beautiful country.

Grimm, a series that is part of Globoplay's August 2022 news

A great new addition for horror fans. Or fairy tale fans. Or both. 

“Grimm” tells the story of the two brothers responsible for many stories that Disney brought to life in our childhood, but here, a little differently.

However, in this adaptation, things are a little different. We meet a criminal detective who discovers that he is descended from hunters of supernatural creatures. 

All six seasons of the series arrive on the platform on the 6th.

Renegade Archangel

Original Globo series, the second season of the hit series “Arcanjo Renegado” is also one of the new features on Globoplay.

The season takes place two years after the events of the first season, showing that the military group, Mikhael, which we met in the first season, is back in Rio de Janeiro after an important man suffers an attack.

Mikhael sees a chance to prove his innocence in the death of Custódia Marques, after some changes in the political scenario and he will not rest until he proves to everyone that he had no involvement in what happened.

Even though he now has one of the most powerful men in the state of Rio against him.

Pages of Life

One of the public's favorites and one of the most requested on streaming social networks, we will now be able to watch the excellent “Páginas da Vida” again.

Originally shown in 2007, the plot features everyday scenes, focusing on various social problems, such as prejudice against Down Syndrome and disabilities. 

In the soap opera that broke audience records, we meet Clara, a young woman who dies after a tragic accident, leaving her daughter with her grandmother, however, the grandmother did not deal well with Clara's Down Syndrome.

With a star-studded cast including Lilia Cabral, Ana Paula Aurósio and Glória Menezes, the 203 chapters will be available on streaming on the 15th.

Rensga Hits

An original series for music lovers, “Rensga Hits” is also one of Globoplay’s new releases and you can’t miss this super premiere. 

The series tells the story of Raíssa, played by Alice Wegmann, who has just arrived in Goiânia with her excellent compositions and the dream of becoming a successful country singer.

Everything seems fine until Raíssa realizes that there is more to doing well in show business than just having talent. 

The young woman finds herself in the middle of ego clashes, lies and the difficult relationship between famous singers and composers who are sidelined.

The full season arrives on Globoplay tomorrow (04/08), but for those who are not subscribers to the platform and are interested, today (03/08), Globo will show the first two episodes of the series in Cinema Especial, right after “Pantanal”.

The House of the Seven Women

Another favorite among the public that is one of Globoplay's new features is the so-called Superseries, “A Casa das Sete Mulheres”.

The very well-made plot takes place during the Farroupilha Revolution, in 1835, and in it we meet seven women with seven different perspectives.

The only thing they have in common is that they are all part of the family of the leader of the Farrapos, Bento Gonçalves.

The lives of the protagonists intertwine through the pain of the time they live, as they all experienced love and pain in different ways, sharing the same hope that one day everything would end and they would be happy again.

Originally shown in 2003 and featuring big names such as Eliane Giardini, Mariana Ximenes, Camila Morgado and Thiago Lacerda, the series arrives on Globoplay on the 29th.

Rock In Rio, the Story: the documentary about the festival is also on the list of new releases on Globoplay August 2022

For music lovers or those who are looking forward to September and the return of Rock In Rio, this documentary is a must-see.

In it, we learn a little about where it all began and how an event that has been going on for so many years still brings together big names in music and still brings more than 100 thousand passionate people to the city of rock every day it takes place.

This year's festival will bring together big national and international names such as Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Demi Lovato, IZA, Ivete Sangalo and Jão.

Purity

Announced for this month, but still without a specific date, the film “Pureza” is one of the new releases on Globoplay.

The film tells the story of Pureza, a man who gets a job on a farm and witnesses the torturous treatment that enslaved rural workers receive.

Purity is also looking for her missing son and now has another big mission.

This mission is to escape from there and inform the authorities of the barbarity that is happening there.
