Today's text will start from a very simple question: why does Apple sell so much?
One of the most powerful brands in the world, it is undeniable that Apple has become a real craze in the last decade.
I, personally, have been a big fan and user of Apple since 2013.
You may not own a smartphone from the 'little apple', but we are sure that you know at least 1 person who has adopted this operating system and uses the brand's cell phone.
But, despite being a very popular brand among different audiences and age groups, everyone knows that the prices of Apple devices are quite high, not fitting into many people's pockets.
But still, the brand only grows over time, gaining a prominent position among consumers.
And the question that begs to be asked is: even though it has a cost that is not very accessible for the average Brazilian, why does Apple sell so much?
That’s what we’re going to try to find out in this content! In the following text, we’ll talk a little more about the company and try to uncover the secret behind one of the most famous and profitable electronics brands in the world.
Learn a little more about Apple
If you are a regular internet user or use social media a lot, you may have noticed a movement caused by Apple this week.
This happened because of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). It is Apple's annual developer conference.
The event – which took place online – was responsible for announcing iOS 16, the new version of the operating system for the brand's products, to present the new MacBook Air and updates and improvements to the Apple Watch.
And it was thinking about all the commotion that Apple's annual event causes among the brand's fans that we decided to develop this content about Apple.
Although many people have only discovered the products of the world's most famous apple in the last decade, the brand itself has been around for a long time.
The company itself was founded in 1976 in the garage of its founder Steve Jobs. At the time, the company's focus was on innovative computers.
But it was with the Apple II that the company began to show the first signs that it could succeed.
Under the name Apple Computer Inc., the years went by and the company developed more and more, launching products that marked generations, such as the Macintosh.
It was only in 2007 that the company dropped Computer Inc. from its name. And this happened for a reason: the company aimed to expand its business even further.
It was from this moment that, in addition to continuing to focus on computers, Apple introduced other products to its catalog.
And that's how iPhones, iPods, iPads, iTunes, Apple Watch and so on came about.
Who would have thought that the company that started in a garage would become one of the most important multinationals in history, right?
Why does Apple sell so much?
Now that we know a little more about the brand, it's time to get to the main point of our text: why does Apple sell so much?
It is important to note that, in our view, there is not exactly a single secret behind why Apple sells so much.
All of the brand's success is due to a combination of factors that, when applied together, have resulted in the resounding success that the brand has achieved in recent times.
Below, we list some topics that contribute greatly to the company being so successful and selling so much.
Why does Apple sell so much? The quality of its products and investment in design are some of the reasons.
It is undeniable that Apple devices are very good.
And through factors such as a more distinctive and eye-catching design, specific functions and remarkable performance, Apple knows how to win over its users.
So, when we ask ourselves why Apple sells so much, the quality of the products should be highlighted.
The ability to retain your users
And in addition to drawing attention to the quality of its products, Apple's marketing has achieved a feat that many brands seek, but not all succeed in: building customer loyalty.
Today, it is part of a select group known as iconic brands, those brands for which their consumers do not believe there is a substitute.
You can see that practically everyone who buys an Apple device – be it an iPhone, iMac or iPad, for example – is unlikely to buy other brands again.
And, after joining the 'family' and falling in love with Apple devices, these users will most likely make an extra effort to, when they need to, exchange their used devices for the brand's newer models.
Apple knows how to maintain high demand in the market
Remember WWDC, the event we mentioned at the beginning of the text? It doesn’t cause all this buzz for nothing.
Of course, being directly linked to a brand as big as Apple helps a lot. But that's not the point. After all, there are several big companies that make announcements and launches of their devices and don't make even half the noise that Apple does.
The point is that, over the years, Apple has been able to work very well with this anxiety among its consumers.
Every year there is the same buzz and the same general anxiety to find out what Apple's new products and launches will be.
Furthermore, despite being more affordable these days, for some people, Apple products still convey a certain sense of status.
And this ends up motivating these people to purchase the brand's products and, whenever possible, exchange them for newer models.
And, of course, along with all this, there is excellent marketing and branding work that has become a reference for companies all over the world!
