This Sunday (9), the long-awaited result of the 2020 Oscars took place, and the big winner for best film was the thriller Parasite by Bong Joon Ho. There were 4 statuettes that included Original Screenplay, best film and direction.
The film's narration takes place in South Korea, addressing the theme of inequality mixed with social satire and acid humor.

Netflix, the leader in nominations, takes home two titles
Present at the 2020 Oscars, Netflix managed to reach a mark of 24 nominations, due to the fact that it is investing more and more in its productions. Although Sunday night was not so favorable, the company ends the year with two awards in hand.
Laura Dern won for best supporting actress, and American Factory won for best documentary.
In total, 8 Netflix films appeared in the 2020 Oscar race:
- The Irishman (Martin Scorsese-nominated in ten categories);
- Two Popes;
- Democracy in Verigem;
- Story of a marriage;
- Klaus.
