In the film Earthquake, we follow geologist Kristian Eikjord (Kristoffer Joner) who, after going through a very traumatic experience and blaming himself for mistakes that occurred in the recent past.

And while he is drowning in guilt, accusing himself of not having done more than he could have – and thus saved lives – Kristian begins to distance himself from work and the people he loves. 

Furthermore, his relationship with his family – formed by his ex-wife Idun Karlsen (Ane Dahl Torp) and his two children, Sondre Eiklord (Jonas Hoff Oftebro) and Julia Eikjord (Edith Haagenrud-Sande) – suffers new shocks when they move to Oslo, the capital of Norway.

And it is while visiting his family in Oslo that the geologist is faced with an even greater challenge.

It turns out that Kristian begins to notice clear evidence that a cataclysm of great proportions may be approaching the city he is in.

And it is from there that a real race against time begins, as Kristian will have to try to convince the responsible government agencies that his prediction is correct and that there is an imminent danger that is about to fall upon the country.

And, in addition, Kristian will have to fight to save his family from an earthquake that promises to be destructive.
