But what are the benefits of drinking this type of milk? Now it’s time to discover all the wonders this drink can do for our bodies.

Strengthens the immune system

One of the greatest benefits of coconut milk is that it contains capric acid and lauric acid, both of which have properties that fight infections, fungi and bacteria.

This strengthens your immune system and reduces the chances of you getting sick more often.

Our system usually fights off the bacteria and fungi it encounters on its own, which is why we often get sick because our body is fighting something different. So it is always important to consume foods that help our body in this fight.

Improves our cholesterol

Another excellent benefit for our body that this product brings is the improvement of cholesterol, which is a thorn in the side of many Brazilians, isn't it?

Because it is rich in lauric acid, coconut milk helps to reduce bad fats in our body and increase good fats (which it contains) and, as a result, cholesterol levels decrease.

Helps prevent cramps

Have you ever suffered from cramps? That muscle extension that hardens the area and causes that annoying pain is one of the strangest things that happen to our body and it comes at any time.

And it doesn't have a place to appear, the cramp can come anywhere, be it in the leg, in the arm, in the jaw and there are even internal cramps, can you believe it?

And because it is rich in potassium, coconut milk helps prevent cramps. There are several foods that can help with this, such as bananas, avocados and beans.

Helps control blood sugar levels

In addition to helping control cholesterol, coconut milk helps control blood sugar levels, as it is low in bad fats and high in good fats, so it helps balance blood sugar levels.

High blood sugar is a problem that can lead to diabetes and other serious problems, so it is always important to keep your blood sugar under control.

Helps you lose weight

In addition to all the things mentioned above that help control various things, coconut milk also helps to satisfy the appetite and helps to control the intestinal tract.

As a result, it is common for people to lose weight, as it is important to consume foods that are rich in proteins and nutrients, as in addition to having several health benefits, they help to satisfy hunger and help to lose those extra unwanted pounds.

Lactose free

Coconut milk does not contain lactose, which is good news for all those who suffer from lactose intolerance and often feel like drinking milk or eating something made with milk but cannot.

Not containing lactose also helps people who have gastritis problems and who are attacked by drinking milk with lactose.

Now that you know all the benefits that consuming coconut milk can bring, you must be eager to run to the supermarket and buy some, right?

But it is not necessary to buy industrialized coconut milk. You can make it at home, quickly and healthily and we will teach you how to do it now. There are two different ways to do it, which are:

Coconut milk with coconut cream

One way to make coconut milk at home is with coconut cream. You will need to buy 1 can of commercial coconut cream or milk and add half a liter of water.

Then blend until smooth and ready. Ideally, you should choose a coconut milk that doesn't have sugar or preservatives, to make a healthier and more nutritious coconut milk.

Coconut milk with dried coconut

To make this recipe you will need 1 dry coconut and 700 ml of hot water.

Preparing this recipe is very simple. You will need to remove the water from the coconut and place it in a hot oven for about 25 minutes to help the coconut come loose from the shell.

Then just remove it and with the help of a cloth you will hit the coconut on the wall or floor to finish detaching the coconut from the shell.

Then just cut into pieces and place in a blender with hot water and then pass through a sieve or strainer to remove the excess.

Just place it in a bottle or container and leave it at room temperature or in the refrigerator and use it however you prefer.
