Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018 – 2020), one of the most recent witch series

In this version, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) is also a teenage witch.

And just like the previous version, she lives a double life between the school she studies at and learning about the supernatural world.

It turns out that this version addresses more adult and dense themes than the previous version.

Among them are: occultism, creatures from the underworld and even trips to hell and worship that follows Lucifer's commandments.

American Horror Story: Coven (2013 – 2014)

Who has heard about American Horror Story? 

The horror series – which launched in 2011 – follows a

anthology format. This means that each season deals with a different story and new characters.

The third season of the series follows an Academy of witches who are the last descendants of the Salem witches.

When Fiona Goode (Jessica Lange) – the clan's supreme who trains at the Academy – begins to lose her powers, they must figure out which one of them will be the next supreme. 

Only the new supreme will be able to develop her powers to protect her clan from external threats, such as witch hunters and even an enemy witch clan.

The series was a success and even today, almost 10 years after its airing, it is still considered one of the best seasons according to American Horror Story fans.

The Craft (1998 – 2006)

We're talking about The Craft – or Charmed, the original title of the plot.

Now, they will have to learn to fight different types of threats – such as demons and several other evil creatures – to protect the inhabitants of San Francisco, the city where the witches live.

The series was so successful that it was revived in 2018. However, despite having won over many fans, the series was recently canceled.

Desalma (2020 – ), the Brazilian representative in the list of witch series

The beginning of the horror plot takes place in 1988.

In it, we witness the disappearance of Halyna (Anna Melo) in Brígida, a small town in the interior of southern Brazil.

This disappearance affects the city's routine so much that its biggest festival ends up being cancelled forever. 

After 30 years, the population is already thinking about reviving the tradition of the festival. 

But what they didn't expect was that supernatural events would begin to scare the inhabitants of the small town, haunting the lives of families who have a common tragedy in their pasts.

The national production – which is recent – has just gained a second season.
